Tyler F Gonzalez

I am a Film Major and BFA Candidate in the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University, with a passion for visual story telling. I’m also a student of the Renee Crown University Honors Program, and pursuing a Business minor to consider the economics of filmmaking.

A native of a historic Chicago suburb, I have been a life long film enthusiast and am committed to creating purposeful content with the high quality of iconic films, while incorporating tech to deepen connectivity with audiences.

To preserve the culture of film creation, I’m active with film festivals, currently serving as Vice President of the Orange Reels Film Festival, and previously as Screening Committee member for the Austin Film Festival. Objetí, a film on which I was DP, placed 2nd in the 2026 Salt City Festival.

I’m pursuing opportunities to expand my experience across all phases of content creation and deepen my creative process. My professional experience includes script coverage, IP discovery, creative attaching and on-set as DP, AC and gaffer. I have advanced technical experience with digital and 35 mm cameras, as well as vertical videos, and have studied film in Bologna and Prague to enhance my perspectives and collaboration.
